Position Summary:
The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for traditional sales team and client support for large Enterprise commercial construction trim products (windows, doors, floors, kitchen and bath, etc.).  This individual will work with General Contractors and Sub Contractors as the primary point of contact in support of the sales team. This position is based at the company headquarters in Round Rock, Texas.

General Responsibilities:
This person will be responsible for communications with clients regarding quotes, estimates and order status and milestones (shipment, delivery, delays, etc.), as well as maintaining status awareness and communications internally with the sales and operations teams.

  • Adding Customer Data into ERP system
  • Generating Sales Estimates and Sales Orders in ERP System
  • Receiving and Reviewing Customer’s requests for quote and orders
  • Coordinating with supply chain & logistics to ensure delivery timing and costs are correct
  • Conduct customer intake of key order items for deliveries, timing, payment, project, etc.
  • Monitoring customer order status and delivery schedules
  • Resolving customer questions or concerns on existing or new orders
  • Creating customer deposit invoices, where required
  • Invoicing Customer and Following up on outstanding balances owed
  • Receiving & Reviewing Warranty & service claims from customers
  • Warranty ticket intake and processing (severity, project, purchase/ install date, failure type, resolution requests, etc.)
  • Working with Davati Product Subject Matter Experts on warranty claim determination
  • Uploading warranty service pictures and documentation to ERP system
  • Create RMA’s and arrange for product returns
  • Create warranty sales orders in ERP system

Required Experience & Skills:
The Business Development Director must have 5+ years of inside sales or client management experience:

  • Track record of success in taking ownership with diverse types of clients
  • Experience selling into and current relationships with general construction contractors, building owners, builders, architects/designers, or developers in the Texas area with large projects
  • Proven history of success from prospecting to processing orders
  • The candidate: must have building products and industry background in construction or related field (ex. HVAC supply, kitchen and bath)

  • Consultative sales skills with the ability to uncover prospect’s pain points and project opportunities
  • Ability to develop and present solutions to address customer needs and pain points
  • Effective account and relationship management expertise with the proven capability to handle objections, accurately qualify prospects and projects, and develop and present solutions to address customer needs and pain points
  • Relevant experience selling into commercial construction space
  • Associate or Bachelor degree a plus
  • Confident verbal and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Diligent and consistent with the use of CRM and other prospecting and analytical tools
  • Ability to participate in constant networking and market research to uncover new targets and opportunities
  • Comfortable working in flat organization with cross-functional teams
  • Resilient and capable of staying focused through long sales cycle
  • Confident and passionate and will have the spirit and persona of a true product evangelist
